THE Lucas Classic returns with the noise, the grit, and the racing spirit that made the originals unforgettable
Join us for a day of celebration on and off the famous Hillclimb at Shelsley Walsh as we gather an impressive range of classic British cars, 4x4’s and motorcycles synonymous with the Lucas Classic and Girling brand.
Since the very first car hit the road over one hundred years ago, Lucas has been at the forefront of parts manufacturing for British marques including Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, Austin Healey, Triumph, MG and Mini.

Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb, Worcestershire
This fun-packed family day includes classic vehicles taking on the famous hillclimb, show cars, traditional stalls, a Lucas Classic heritage display, live music, food and drink. Enjoy trackside commentary and interviews with TV celebrity Fuzz Townshend and other popular voices in classic motoring. Weather permitting, we look forward to our traditional Spitfire flypast during lunch.
The gates open for spectators and show cars at 9am. The track opens at 10.00am. The day concludes with a traditional hog roast and prize giving around 5.30pm.
Tickets are now available for spectators and classic car /motorcycle owners who would like to display their vehicles at the event.
Early-bird tickets: £10 per vehicle + booking fee. Ticket price includes up to 5 passengers.
This is a ticket-only event. Tickets will not be available to purchase on the day. As this is a motor sport event, strictly no dogs allowed.
TAKE YOUR CLASSIC UP THE HILL
Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb stands as the world's oldest motorsport venue still operating on its original course, predating legendary circuits like Indianapolis, Le Mans, and Monza. While Brooklands has vanished into history, Shelsley Walsh endures, as timeless as motorsport itself, yet thoroughly contemporary. Located in the Worcestershire countryside, the challenging 1,000-yard course winds uphill through wooded terrain, attracting classic cars and motorcycles to this historic track.

If you own an interesting British classic car or motorcycle and would like to drive/ride up the famous hillclimb, please send details of your car/bike, including a brief history and photographs, to the event organisers.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 19th April 2026. Successful applicants will receive a link to purchase a Hillclimb/ Paddock pass @ £35.00 + booking fee.
Camping is available to Hillclimb drivers/riders only. The cost is £15 + booking fee per person per night (Friday and Saturday only). Successful applicants will receive a link to purchase these tickets.
This informal track day is not a racing event - hillclimb runs will not be timed. Drivers/ passengers will be required to wear a helmet and long clothing to cover arms and legs.
